How the place sees itself

The house explicitly casts itself as a myth and justifies it through antiquity: „Associer l'enlèvement d'Europe par Zeus au Byblos a finalement beaucoup de sens : tous deux ont le statut de mythe." Its pillars are history and atmosphere, and it deliberately claims opposites at once, „à la fois pétillant et relaxant, secret et sélect, chic et décontracté". Unlike most comparable houses, a named host speaks here in the first person: Antoine Chevanne, great-grandson of the 1967 buyer, who closes with „Bienvenue." His promise makes the guest a co-author: „les plus belles histoires seront celles que vous saurez inscrire avec nous au cœur de la légende".

Translated from German

Its significance is greater than the personal gain in energy.

You can feel history, glamour and social relevance. The lasting energy, though, arises for me more outside the hotel, in the interplay with Saint-Tropez itself.
