How the place sees itself

The house puts community and belonging before everything else and describes itself as „a clothing optional sanctuary for gay men since 1976". It promises not exclusivity but acceptance, explicitly for guests „in all shapes and sizes, from every generation", in „a supportive, accepting and non-judgemental environment so you can relax and be yourself". People are the actual offer here: the house calls its staff „Island Mates" and points out that „over 47 guys take care of just 39 rooms". It deliberately does not take bookings online, because it wants to speak with every guest beforehand to protect the character of the place.

Reviews

Translated from German

The particular energy comes from a feeling of complete matter-of-factness. Nobody has to play a role.

That freedom, combined with the lightness of Key West, makes the stay exceptionally energising.
