Splendido builds on place, history and glamour: “The radiant stage of Portofino”, “inseparable from the spirit of Portofino”, from a Benedictine monastery to Baron Baratta’s villa and the stage of the 1950s, today with a Dior Spa and a redesign by Martin Brudnizki. “Live La Dolce Vita” is the promise: the view, the rhythm of the waves, the Riviera legend. People appear as guests of a stage rather than as hosts; the effect is meant to come from scenery and myth.
