Grand Hôtel Stockholm

The Grand Hôtel builds on history, location and cuisine: “home to everyday bon-vivants and high-profile events since 1874”, “in the best waterfront location imaginable” opposite the Royal Palace and old town, with five restaurants, Mathias Dahlgren, the smörgåsbord and one of Sweden’s largest wine cellars. The tone is inviting (“Our warmest of welcomes!”) and open to the city: “Everybody feels at home at the Cadier Bar, Stockholmers and hotel guests alike.” The house sees itself as an institution and meeting place more than as a personal host.
